L’oe Show Takes Over Pottstown for Fourth Year in a Row
The L’oe Car Show, Presented by FCP Euro and sponsored by Delinte Tires, hit the streets of Pottstown, PA for the fourth year in a row over Labor Day weekend.
On August 29, Delinte ambassador and car building enthusiast Jamie Orr, watched as his small hometown of Pottstown transformed into an international destination for four days this past Labor Day weekend.
The trailblazing PA event attracted cars from 23 US states, as well as specialty vehicles from France, Belgium, Germany, Netherlands, and multiple Canadian provinces. Jamie, who has "run the show" since its inception in 2021, was particularly impressed by this year's display which saw cars stretch over three quarters of a mile of High Street in historic, downtown Pottstown. The array of cars represented 50 other companies and brands, including luxury vehicles like Audis and Porsches, and other brands from the Volkswagen Group.
This year's L'oe Show attracted over 30,000 spectators who attended the main event on Sunday, September 1st and enjoyed the pop-up stores, eateries and other related gatherings in the city. One of the highlights of the show was a two-tier car display stage in the center of the festivities, adorning a 1974 Volkswagen Rabbit with Delinte tires on top, in celebration of 50 years of Golf models.
Amongst the 650-plus cars that were on display at the main show, there were car models ranging from 1949 to 2025, with multiple cars sporting Delinte tires. On the performance side, a 2012 Volkswagen Golf R with approximately 500 horsepower in its all-wheel-drive drivetrain, underneath a Volkswagen Motorsport bodykit, was shipped in to the show right after doing laps on some of the most famous race tracks and mountain passes in Europe, including the Austrian Grossglockner and Transfagarasan Mountain Road in Romania (dubbed the "world's best road" by Jeremy Clarkson). During its extensive travels, the 2012 Volkswagen Golf R was sporting a set of 245/40R18 D7 tires.
The energetic show included fundraising events for many of the local businesses, including a raffle to raise money for the Steel River Playhouse located on Pottstown’s High Street. The prize for the winning ticket was a 1999 SEAT Arosa, with a 1.0L 4 cylinder engine, and a host of new parts centered around the Delinte DS2 . The 195/50r15" tires were mounted to the freshly refinished European market 15" BBS wheels, including a new set of coilovers and some fresh paint from local Hollywood Garage — which is also located on High St. The winning ticket was drawn on the main stage, and the winner was able to drive the car home after the show!
One of the fun and unique aspects of the show was the support from manufacturers around the world, with many producing special limited edition items either in the form of parts or clothing and memorabilia.
Car enthusiasts may have recognized the 2019 Volkswagen Jetta S Concept from SEMA 2018, which resurfaced at the L'oe Show with its distinctive 3D printed bodykit and set of 19" Delinte D7 tires. The eye-catching Jetta was displayed alongside 40 other unique cars, including a very rare Audi Union 1000 SP, a Lamborghini, and a Bentley.
Other cars on display included a 1948 VW Beetle and 1983 VW Rabbit GTI, which were on loan from Volkswagen of America. The Straylight Collection brought a VW Corrado cabriolet prototype, and Ray Team Auto displayed their Audi S1 Quattro rally car from Canada in the LQUI MOLY booth. Additionally, multiple new SUVs joined smaller hatchbacks on curated displays, all adding to the mix of styles and eras in attendance.
Arguably one of the most standout cars was Jamie Orr's own Golf GTD Stretch, commonly referred to as the 'Biergarten Golf'. This Golf was built in Germany by a coachbuilding company in the late 1980s. It was brought back to running by Jamie and Meyle in Germany, before attending L'oe Show in 2023. It then returned to Europe, where it was driven across Germany on the Autobahn, France on the Autoroute, and Paris’ Boulevard Périphérique and Champs-Élysées. It was in France that the car received a upgraded 1.9L TDI engine and further partial restoration by Atelier282 and DSP Designs, giving it the power (and air conditioning) that it deserved! Keeping in theme, the car has completed every mile since being pulled out of a German barn on Delinte Tires. It wears 195/50R15" Delinte DS2 tires, which Jamie said “have done fantastically well”, especially given the size and additional weight of the vehicle.
“One of fun and unique aspects of the show was the support from manufacturers around the world, with many producing special limited edition items either in the form of parts or clothing and memorabilia,” Jamie said. This included Delinte who provided over 650 baseball caps, co-branded with the L'oe Show and offered complimentary to all attendees.
“The hats proved to be a perfect accessory for providing shelter from the varied Pennsylvania weather on the Labor Day weekend, which went from sunny and 90' F to scattered soaking showers, and quickly back again,” Jamie continued.
In addition to using hats for protection from the sun, attendees were able to duck into air conditioned pop-up stores as well as the many established restaurants lining the show field. Some of these vendors only opened up over the holiday weekend to participate in this annual event — which along with Delinte Tires — continues to grow every year.
