Jamie Orr Puts Delinte Tires to the Test...Again
02/01/2021
Jamie Orr has made a career of building amazing vehicles and putting them to the test by driving them for thousands of miles in the most extreme conditions. Jamie partnered with VW North America to build a 2020 Atlas Cross Sport. He lowered the car as much as physics would allow, (7 inches) mounted the largest Rotiform wheels possible, and wrapped them in Delinte D7 All-Season Ultra High-Performance tires. Then Jamie set out to drive 7,000 miles (14,000 total) across the US to the KW Suspension Expo at the Buttonwillow racetrack in California, while spending nights sleeping in his Thule rooftop tent.
This isn't the first time Jamie has severely punished Delinte tires, earlier this year he embarked on a nine-country, 17 day, 8,500-mile road trip over the Andes Mountains in South America and Patagonia in his custom-built 400HP VW GTI Rallywagen. The ultra-high performance Volkswagen® was matched with Delinte Ultra High Performance, All-Season D7’s.
Back to the VW Atlas Cross Sport US adventure, Jamie traversed the country starting from Pennsylvania and on to Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Missouri, Kansas, Colorado, Utah, Arizona, Nevada, and finally California then back again. Plowing through snowstorms and reaching heights in the Rockies of over 11,000 ft Jamie tested the Delinte’s to the tune of up to 1,800 miles in a single day. After visiting Buttonwillow in Fresno, California Jamie spent some time with sponsors KW suspension and Rotiform wheels (a nice compliment to the D7's), packed it up, and headed to meet Delinte Tires for an all-day shoot in Orange County off of PCH and then east for the long and fast trip back to his shop in Pennsylvania where he completed a four-hour engine swap on his next build.
We are happy to announce that the D7’s once again took on another extreme challenge from Jamie Orr. Delinte Tires is looking forward to his next adventure!
